This was the first Wally Lamb book I ever read. I read it over the summer on loan from my Aunt and was completely taken with the story and characters. The story was engrossing, I couldnt get enough and didnt put the book down till it was done. The writing wasnt too juvenile, a common complaint I make these days, it was very rich and satisfying.

Belgie, you've got to read The Hour I First Believed if you haven't already. I think Wally Lamb is a masterful writer.
