I think you guys have a total crush on me. :-P I haven't yet gotten to The Postmortal, but it's on my shelf and I will probably get around to it... someday. :)
And, for the record, the dudeface... Morelli? Whoever that guy is from One for the Money was a fugitive 'cause "they" thought he killed someone? Or something. I clearly didn't care enough about this book to remember the details!
Is our crush that obvious? LOL I also still have Postmortal sitting on my shelf. I felt like I should have read it around Halloween, but, well, didn't.
It's been so long since I read the first book, I clearly do not remember either.
Enjoyed this podcast immensly and would like to suggest these sites for readalikes/book suggestions:
Reader's Advisory Online
http://www.readersadvisoronline.com/lu/RAsearch
You might need to register but the site is free to use. I did a quick search for The Paris Wife and got a synopsis, related reads such as Susan Vreeland's Clara and Mr. Tiffany (the literary historical novel angle) and links to other subject related novels to try including romantic historicals. The site goes beyond this with other editor suggestions. I'm positive you can find something of interest here.
Unfortunately, nothing came up in a search for Ready Player One.
Second site:
BookBrowse your guide to exceptional books..
http://www.bookbrowse.com/
Free content and premium content
You won't find every title here but what you do find is written expertly.
The Paris Wife search gives synopsis, excerpt, guide, reviews, biography, etc. In the free version you'll get a few suggestions but for full benefit you'd have to be a member. Not horribly expensive for a library. Take a look. One suggestion was Loving Frank by Nancy Horan. What do you think?
Again no hit for Ready Player One.
And of course, don't forget to ask Beth or Cari or your local librarians for suggestions. We love this part of our jobs.
Thanks for your comment! I have used both of those sites before!
