Just finished it and MAN, I wish I could have been in on that convo! I definitely agree that it was totally out of character for Katniss to agree to a new Hunger Games!
What the Heck! That made no sense and neither did Gale dropping off the face of the Earth -- er, I mean, getting a job in District 2. I think he should have died. Heartless, maybe. It would have made her making the decision to be with Peta more solid. Or better yet - they both die and she survives! There is so much Collins could have done differently. On the whole, I can see the appeal to teens who don't realize the book could be written a different way.
