At first I was all, "Uh, summer reading? Do you know what month it is?" But then I realized that I'm staying at a beach house this weekend and won't be putting on a sweater outside until at least November, so... summer away! :)

Also, I haven't read Doc yet, but if you haven't read Russell's The Sparrow you should do that right now. Love!

But the date of the post! August 19. Definitely a lot of summer left... :-)

I love The Sparrow too - that would be the main reason I would give Doc a chance - besides the rave reviews everyone else has been giving it.

I've just found and am enjoying your podcast! The strict series follower in me was aghast at skipping the second book in the Outlander series - I consumed these books when I found them. But I do recall starting the second book and being impatient with the present day story line...but hanging with it paid off. It's definitely worth going back for - such a rich tapestry Diana Gabaldon weaves. I might feel differently if I had as much reading as you two do, though.

Molly, I will try and go back and reread the second book. It is a really good series. Thanks for listening!!!
