Hey, I live in Chattanooga, TN. I'm honestly not really a library visitor, b/c we have this re-sale book store where we can buy books cheaper and sell them back. Anyways, I'm really getting into some medical drama fiction, but having a hard time finding much. I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions. I've been reading "Lifelines" and "Warning Signs" by CJ Lyons and I love love love them. I read all different stuff including some medical christion fiction. Hannah Alexander has an 8 book series and I just started another series by a new author, Candace Calvert. Anyways, I work in an ER here in Chattanooga, and I really have enjoyed these medical books I have come across. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi TNPrincess! Thanks for commenting! I always hear about Robin Cook and Tess Gerritsen being good for medical thrillers, but I haven't actually read them myself. I read Beat the Reaper by Josh Bazell which was kind of a gritty, dirty medical thriller, and I loved it. I also love the true-to-life stuff by Atul Gawande (Better & Complications are his two books). I'm getting ready to read a book by the person who consults for House--can't wait! Let me know if you have any more questions :-)
