For people who love to read, sometimes their favorite authors are exhausted and they run out of things to read. Never fear! Beth and Cari share some reader's advisory resources to help you with your "next reads".
Re: languages in the bible.
ReplyDeleteThe new testament was written in Greek, the lingua franca of the western world in the first century.
Old testament is more complicated. It was mostly written in Aramaic (an older form of Hebrew), but I believe that some parts of it, in particular prophecy written during the diaspora (e.g. Daniel) that were written in Chaldean.
I didn't wikipedia this yet, so I might be totally wrong. Now I'm going to go wikipedia it.
